Kristin Matthews is currently a VP of Consulting at John Burns Real Estate and Consulting and a member of the Traverse Capital Advisory Board. She is a seasoned professional with 20+ years of experience. Having returned to her roots in SLC, Kristin previously held the role of Market Insights Manager at The Ryness Company. With a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Utah and an M.A. in Economics from San Diego State University, Kristin specializes in extensive research and analysis in urban, single-family, build-to-rent, and multifamily housing markets.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kristin brings a unique flair with her love for vintage cars and motorcycles. She proudly owns a '73 Mustang, a '71 VW Super Beetle, and a '78 Honda Hawk café racer. Kristin's passion for both real estate and classic vehicles exemplifies her diverse interests and dynamic approach to life. At JBREC, she continues to guide clients in making informed investment decisions, combining her expertise, market research, and the thrill of "boots on the ground" fieldwork.
